1. Trione Annadel State Park:
This park is known for it’s noteworthy mountain biking with 40 miles worth of trails to explore. Climb steep hills and sharp decent will enjoying beautiful oak woodlands, grasslands, lake Ilsanjo and seasonal wildflowers.

2. Shiloh Ranch Regional Park:
This former cattle ranch has 8 miles of multi-use dirt roads filled with a diverse terrain of mixed conifer forest, oak groves, grasslands with a creek and a pond. If you are not flying by too fast you might get to see some deer, rabbits, fox and if you are lucky a coyote or a bobcat. Some sections of the trail will be more difficult than others due to the rocky trails.

3. Hood Mountain Regional Park & Open Space Preserve:
This expansive 2,000 acre park offers rugged trails with beautiful scenery of creeks, grasslands, forest, meadows, pygmy forest, woodland of oak and maple and fern-filled riparian zones. These trails are more challenging and it is suggested that you bring lots of water.
Location: 1450 Pythian Rd. Santa Rosa (Southwest Entrance) & 3000 Los Alamos Rd. Santa Rosa (North Entrance)

4. Helen Putnam Regional Park:
Need an easier ride that the whole family will enjoy? Then try Helen Putnam Regional Park. With 6 miles of gentle trails great for beginning or rusty mountain bikers. Enjoy the beautiful woodlands, grasslands, seasonal wildflowers and the local bird population among the rolling hills. There is also a fishing pond, accessible playground, picnic area and gazebo located near the parking lot.

5. Taylor Mountain Regional Park & Open Space Preserve:
Located in Santa Rosa, this 1,100 acre park offers beautiful views of the Mayacamas Mountains. Advanced bikers will love the eastern route. The western route is easier and there are a few short, fairly flat, trails ( Todd Creek and Red Hill trails) if you want an easier jaunt.
